Retouch by Nederlands Dans Theater I includes two works by renowned guest choreographers William Forsythe and Jiří Kylián: Of Any if And and Bella Figura. Johan Inger presents his second creation as the company’s associate choreographer.

In Of Any If And, a man and a woman dance with razor-sharp, strong and complex movements to powerful music by Thom Willems. In the background, two other dancers speak mysterious texts, and intriguing words appear out of thin air. William Forsythe, artistic director of The Forsythe Company in Germany, enjoys a longstanding reputation as an innovative choreographer and is a key guest choreographer at the Nederlands Dans Theater.

Jiří Kylián’s acclaimed Bella Figura is inspired by the moment where fantasy and reality appear to coalesce. Its poetic atmosphere and mysterious, sensual and almost surreal movements make Bella Figura a fascinating and ompelling work.

Johan Inger’s second creation for the Nederlands Dans Theater, is a world premiere. The former artistic director of Cullberg Ballet’s first work for this dance company, Dissolve in this, was presented at Nederlands Dans Theater’s 50th anniversary gala last year.
