Dinner arrangements for De Nederlandse Opera

We serve a delicious dinner, prior to De Nederlandse Opera evening performances. The dinner is served on the second balcony in the beautiful foyer of the Amsterdam Music Theatre, with a splendid view on the Amstel river.

The buffet consists of various meat, vegetarian and fish dishes. Coffee and tea is served during the first interval, or - for performances without an interval - before curtain-up. The price for this culinary buffet is EUR 27.50 per person, and includes a glass of wine, dessert, coffee or tea.

The main entrance opens an hour and 15 minutes before curtain up of the evening performance. Because availability for the buffet is limited, we recommend booking well in advance. Reservations can be made through the special ordering page, or the Amsterdam Music Theatre box office, telephone number (020) 625 5455.

Drinks after the performance

Starting with the 2011-2012 season, the bar in the foyer (near the main entrance) will be serving drinks for 30 minutes after a performance ends, allowing you to review and discuss while enjoying a drink.

Have your drinks ready in the interval

When you order your drinks at the center bar (on the 'zaal' level), we will make sure your drinks will be ready and waiting on a special table in the interval, avoiding the queue at the counters. This is also the bar for Champagne, by the glass or bottle. In addition to the house wines, this bar also serves delicious wines in convenient 37.5 cl. bottles, such as Chablis, Menetou-Salon, Fleurie en Pomerol.

Eco-friendly

Of all the drinks on offer in the Amsterdam Music Theatre, 80% is produced environmentally friendly, with biological ingredients. Most are certified by the EKO-seal or comparable international seal of approval. Peeze coffee, Schulp biological juices, Gulpener beers, Fedele Sicilia wines and Dilmah teas are just some of the brands on offer.
