Tickets for performances by the Dutch National Ballet and The Amsterdam Music Theatre  for season 2011-2012 are on sale since 1 June 2011.

Convenient payment at the box office
You can pay at the box office in cash (Euros), or by credit card (Visa, MasterCard and American Express), switch card or ‘chipknip’. You can also use a ‘Theater & Concertbon’, a ‘Cultuurkaart’ and gift vouchers for De Nederlandse Opera and the Dutch National Ballet.

Discounts

Discount cards must be produced at the entrance to the theatre. In principle, The Amsterdam Music Theatre accepts the CJP (young visitors’ culture card), 65+ (senior citizen card) and the Stadspas (card for low income groups). However, discount cards cannot be combined with other special offers.

Sold out?
For performances that are sold out, it is sometimes still possible to get one or two tickets through the stand-by system.
One hour before curtain-up, numbers are handed out at one of the two right-hand windows of the box office in the hall of The Amsterdam Music Theatre. Any tickets that have not been picked up half an hour before curtain-up are then sold to the holders of the numbers, with a maximum of two tickets per person.

No refunding
Tickets that have been paid for cannot be exchanged or refunded. However, it is possible to offer your tickets for sale through the exchange service, at your own risk.

Surtitles
Performances by De Nederlandse Opera are surtitled in Dutch. The surtitles can be viewed from seats in sections 1 – 3, 5 and 7.

Children
If you are bringing small children to The Amsterdam Music Theatre, you can pick up a free cushion from the cloakroom, so that they can see the performance better.
